For our 14th Startup Grind Chengdu edition we are happy to invite Tim Luan from Innoway in Beijing. Tim has more than 15 years of international study and work experience; worked for one of China's hottest startup unicorns and helps now to build China's most active incubation center: Innoway. Tim will share from his experiences of global business, corporate innovation and government relations. // TIM LUAN Tim is currently the Head of the Global Incubator at Innoway – the major landmark for innovation and entrepreneurship in the heart of Zhongguancun. Prior, he covered the role of Strategy Department Director at 36Kr incubator. He has been actively involved in the startup business since 2011 and he is one of the key-figures in bringing together startups and corporations, by working closely with – to name a few - Intel, Haier, Orange, Baidu. He studied and worked in Canada and Europe for 15 years and has been a mentor and a judge for several national and international startup competitions. //INNOWAY Innoway is a State-owned company and landmark in the heart of Zhongguancun, which was established by the Beijing and Haidian government to foster entrepreneurship and to offer a platform for an open exchange between global players in the innovation ecosystem. Zhongguancun is the most intensive area of science, technology and education in China. There are 41 colleges and universities located in this area such as Beijing and Tsinghua University and 206 national research institutes represented by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since June 2014, Innoway has incubated over 1,900 Startups, with more than 222 international ventures. 743 Startups successfully received investments, accounting for 9.104 Billion RMB. We have a solid track record in supporting Fortune 500 and multinational corporations, like Intel, Haier, or Baidu with their innovation needs.
