Greg Ubert is the Founder and President of Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea ®, a specialty coffee roaster and teacher of independent coffee shop business success. Based in Columbus, OH, Greg founded Crimson Cup in 1991. In 2003, Greg published the book Seven Steps to Success, which documents his passion for teaching others about his proven business philosophy. In 2007, using the business philosophy outlined in Seven Steps to Success, Crimson Cup opened its first company-owned coffee house in the Columbus community of Clintonville, OH. This coffee house serves as the company’s test store, allowing Crimson Cup to sample new products and services before launching to its customers nationwide. Greg holds a B.A. in economics from Harvard University, where he was a linebacker for the Crimson Football team and a pitcher on the university’s baseball team. He is a board member for the Cancer Support Community of Central Ohio, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people affected by cancer. He currently resides in Upper Arlington with his wife, Laura, and their three children: Caroline, Jack and Nick.
