I’ve been interested in science and technology since I was five years old. At one point I was the youngest amateur radio operator in the United States. I studied astronomy and built solid fuel rockets in high school and learned to fly when I was eighteen. I built interfaces between analog and digital computers in graduate school and started a burglar alarm manufacturing company at the same time. I loved technology and particularly what technology could do for people.
My strongest skills are bringing together teams of talented people, organizing around a common vision, and executing for a successful outcome. I enjoy developing business strategies, sales and marketing plans, and effective reporting systems. I love building businesses and I get great joy out of seeing my teammates grow, develop, and succeed. My favorite motto is “Have fun, make money, and change the world!” In the things I am most proud of, all of those objectives were achieved. In those efforts where results didn’t reach the intended objectives, great lessons were learned by all. (I agree with the old adage “You learn more from your mistakes than your successes!”)
