Brenda Buell is the founder of a candle and home fragrance manufacturing company in Dallas where she manufactures private label candles and associated fragrance products for National and International distributors.
After graduating from SMU, Brenda spent several years working for one of Dallas’ premier advertising agencies but always dreamed of starting her own business working with manufacturers and artisans in Mexico designing glassware, iron and ceramics. Fluent in Spanish and having grown up on the border of Mexico and traveling extensively in Mexico, starting her own importing business felt second nature.
For over 18 years Brenda grew her business to a multi-million dollar company with offices in Mexico, China and a candle manufacturing facility in Texas with over 500 employees before selling it to a private equity group. Her customers included multiple major US and Canadian retailers such as Walmart, Target, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, Williams- Sonoma, Bed Bath & Beyond, JC Penny, Pier 1 Imports, Sears to name a few.
She is currently in the process of launching her own new brand of highly fragranced and natural cosmetic grade candles and personal care products and works tirelessly helping certain non-profit organizations.
Brenda has been married for 25 years to her husband Chris and has 2 children Eliza, a junior at Texas Christian University and Christopher, a freshman at the United States Air Force Academy.
