About this event

Nicknamed “The Book Guy” during his collegiate years, Doug Levy once took on the University of Pennsylvania, where he was enrolled, after they attempted to shut down his multi-million dollar bookselling business. Campus Text, which operated out of an 18-wheeler parked outside of the university’s bookstore, was a cheaper, friendlier option for his fellow students, and an endeavor that would forever solidify Doug’s commitment to elevating humanity through innovative entrepreneurship. The lessons learned through that business, which involved bringing out the expertise and passion of those around him, would prove useful later on Doug became the founder and CEO of MEplusYOU, a leading strategic and creative agency located in his hometown of Dallas, Texas. Having served some of the world’s most respected brands, including Mary Kay, Procter & Gamble, Louisville Slugger, Wells Fargo and Haggar, just to name a few, MEplusYOU exists to help businesses outperform their competitors by building more authentic relationships with their customers, thus carrying on Doug’s ongoing commitment to bettering the world through better business. His next endeavor, TapGoods, a peer-to-peer marketplace that allows people to rent and lend their oft-unused items to and from people nearby — set to launch this summer in Dallas — only further exemplifies that commitment.
