Jack Blount has more than 25 years senior management experience including the roles of Chairman, President, CEO, COO, CTO and EVP. He has a successful track record of drawing from his vast network of seasoned professionals, to assemble powerful teams and successfully leading companies to accomplish rapid growth and solid profits. Blount most recently was the Chairman and CEO of AlphaBay Corporation, which represented a true compilation of his past successes. Alpha Bay was the first enterprise, real-time, retail system offering mobile clients, PCI-DSS security, big data analysis and social networking through cloud services. Blount began his career at IBM as an engineer working on MVS, RACF security, System 38, AS400, DB2, SNA Networks, PC, PS2, and Token-ring Network.
Blount has been an executive in several public companies including: Novell, SVP Strategic Business Development, Borland, COO, Raindance Communications, COO, TeleComputing, COO/CTO, and J.D.Edwards, EVP e-Commerce Business Division. In addition to his technical acumen, Blount has had responsibility for sales, marketing, and operations, for international products and services, where he has continually produced dramatic growth in revenues and profits. Blount has also had the experience of launching new products in all parts of the world including US, Canada, Europe, Asia Pacific, China, and Latin America.
At Novell, Blount was responsible for implementing the concept of “coopetition” where he partnered closely with, and competed intensely against companies like Microsoft, HP, IBM, AT&T and others. Blount graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BA in Math with a minor in Computer Science.
