Katherine Nelson, “Kat” as she was fondly nicknamed during childhood created RedKatalyst Consulting to help both people and companies get unstuck. She is truly the Kat-of-all-trades who drives the strategy and growth of many of her clients. She is part business strategist, part marketing maven, and part spiritual butt-kicker, with a little side of Southern swagger.
Kat has consulted with hundreds of organization over the course of her career in a myriad of industries and has specialized expertise in marketing, finance, customer and product development, process management, leadership coaching, and women empowerment. RedKatalyst has helped businesses conquer their challenges and optimize operations, launch new products and services, prepare to raise capital and uncover new value. Previously, she was part of the senior leadership team at Obtiva, one of the hottest independent software development shops in the country when it was acquired by Groupon in 2011. She began her career while still in college, working as an auditor and eventually expanding beyond finance and accounting into the corporate world of business operations and technology.
