A coder since the age of 15, Char Genevier has been building companies for the majority of her life. Char is the CEO and Founder of The Cotery, a platform for artists and designers to design, pre-sell, and manufacture unique limited-run apparel without the upfront costs and complications of traditional manufacturing. Char attended Harvey Mudd College for theoretical math, but left to devote her full attention to building SocialEngine, a white-label social networking platform that she bootstrapped to profitability, took through TechStars Boulder in 2011, and eventually sold to Room 214. Char loved the Boulder startup scene so much that, post-Techstars, she relocated there from LA. Char serves on the board of Blue Sky Bridge, and spends her free time skiing, hiking with her dog, and drinking good wine.
