Lew Visscher is currently CFO for Catalyst Repository System in Denver, a “google for lawyers” electronic discovery legal software company. Lew has been with Catalyst since 2004 helping them grow from $3 million in revenue to over $30 million while driving EBITDA greater than 25% each of the last 6 years. In early 2012 Catalyst raised $32 million in a recapitalization providing over a 10X return to its existing stockholders. Catalyst was a spin-out of the Holland & Hart law firm in 2000 and today has over 150 employees with offices in Colorado and Tokyo.
From 1997 through 2003 Lew was CFO for several other VC/Private Equity backed software/technology businesses. This followed a 10 year career at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1987 through 1996 providing audit and tax services to technology and entrepreneurial based companies in Denver and Boulder.
Lew is currently President of the Board of Financial Executives International (FEI) a 300 member Colorado Chapter of a 10,000 National member organization. Lew has also been President and Treasurer of the Board of Emergency Family Assistance Association, one of Boulder County Colorado’s largest and oldest non-profits serving the basic needs of the community.
When Lew is not being CFO for Catalyst, or Board President of FEI he is most famously known for his involvement in the community through Lew’s List. Lew’s List is a networking email database of nearly 10,000 finance and accounting members that Lew started in 2003. Today Lew emails 100-150 job opportunities a month to this membership helping companies find talent and talent find employment. When companies are looking for finance and accounting talent Lew’s List is the place to go. Lew was awarded a CFO of the Year award in 2009 from the Denver Business Journal..
