Aleks is the CEO of Arum, a growing boutique consultancy headquartered in Edinburgh. He is a transformation and technology specialist who has worked with SMEs and large blue-chips. Since Aleks took over Arum the business has grown both revenues and employees by more than 10 times whilst developing a strong reputation in its key market segments.

Aleks began his career as an engineering consultant working at the cutting edge of materials and analysis. In the late-90s he set up the UK’s first corporate venturing scheme for a FTSE100 plc, then worked as a project manager for their oil and gas business developing new technology solutions for offshore environmental remediation and decommissioning.

Aleks made an exciting switch to the IT technology space in 2000, joining Scotland’s biggest ‘dotcom’ era start-up where he was responsible for delivering the technology platform; then enjoyed working on new technology projects including what was known as ‘web 2.0’ before taking over Arum in 2006.

Alongside running Arum, Aleks enjoys mentoring and advising a number of Scottish Start-Up businesses when time allows.
