Over the last years, there has been a massive expansion of the education system with schooling and universities becoming more accessible to a wide range of people around the world.
However, with a world of readily searchable knowledge at our fingertips, traditional learning systems are also challenged more than ever. Students are increasingly looking for new innovative ways to help them manage the formidable tools at their disposal, rather than memorizing every detail.
A more "active learning" in a practical setting is increasingly becoming attractive, bringing us to the question of how our education system can equip the younger generation for the challenges of tomorrow?
Together with our friends from Startup Grind Berlin and ThePowerMBA, we will look at the future of education and highlight how startups in that space can disrupt the ecosystem. We will look at this topic from an entrepreneurial and investor perspective and welcome our three great speakers:

Rafa Gozalo, an international reference for successful entrepreneurship, is the link between all 4 founding members of ThePowerMBA. He’s the cousin of Kike Corral, the CMO. He met Hugo Arevalo, a successful young entrepreneur while studying at university and later on in his career worked alongside Borja Adanero, during his time as a consultant. Most importantly, Gozalo would later lead them in creating what has become a benchmark in online business education.
Gozalo graduated from Francisco de Vitoria University with a BA in Business Management, before going on to complete an MBA at the IE Business School and various courses at different international universities, including the Global Village for Future Leaders in Business at Lehigh University, PA.
Prior to founding ThePowerMBA Gozalo worked primarily as a senior business consultant, a position he held for just short of a decade.
However, Gozalo has always had an entrepreneurial streak run through him, a trait he shared with Corral, Arevalo, and Adanero. So they pooled their ideas about an area of business they thought needed a radical change. Months later, they set up what is now the fastest-growing business school in the world. Gozalo quickly abandoned consulting and dedicated himself fully to the project.
Felix is a Principal at HV Capital, formerly HV Holtzbrinck Ventures, and is always seeking companies with big ambition and the drive to transform the European technology landscape. On a daily basis, he reflects on the role of VC. He channels this awareness and responsibility towards his personal interactions with portfolios, entrepreneurs and teams.
Felix studied business and political science in Munich, Singapore and London. His educational background spans the complexity, nuances and fragility of international relations. Felix graduated with a BSc in Business Administration from LMU Munich with distinction. He completed his International Political Economy Masters with distinction at LSE London.
Prior to joining HV, Felix was CEO and co-founder of a VC-backed digital learning platform, helping to build and manage the platform. He suffered and celebrated while bringing mobile learning to higher education in Europe. The company eventually sold to a competitor, and then later to StepStone.
Felix enjoys both challenging and supporting founders in their most crucial moments. He holds onto the heart and soul that he and his co-founders put into their company 24/7 over many years. At HV he has worked on projects such as sennder, Dialogue, heartbeat and homefully.
In his spare time, Felix enjoys climbing (especially bouldering), both indoors and outdoors. He also loves almost any other type of sports, including tennis, soccer, badminton, squash and beach volleyball.
