Breaking barriers after 153 years - Dee Bradbury and SRU

Dee Bradbury is said to become the first female president of a Tier 1 rugby nation. Currently the Vice President of Scottish Rugby, she is paving the way and setting examples for women all over Scotland. This month she is one of many in the #40Forward Campaign where every Global Chapter has a female entrepreneur as a guest speaker in the month of May.

About this event

Dee is the current Vice President of Scottish Rugby and will take over for a two year term as President on 4.8.18. It is believed that she will be the first female president of a Tier 1 country. She is also Scottish Rugby's representative to Rugby Europe.

Her sporting background is mainly in athletics, having represented Scotland and GB at junior and Masters levels and only started playing rugby from the age of 38.

She is a retired Police Officer having spent most of her career investigating serious sexual crime and child protection enquiries.

Dee splits her time between Oban and Edinburgh and is married to Nick, a commercial manager. They have two sons, both of whom play rugby.
