Employability Check-In: The Fate of the Workplace with Chris Herd

Edinburgh
Tue, May 25, 12:00 PM (BST)

About this event

A deep dive into the various scenarios for our working lives as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

About this event

Over, the past 10 weeks we've been delighted to bring you this series of free interactive lunchtime webinar sessions to discuss your current concerns around the job market, and cover what you can be doing now to ensure you grab your next opportunity with both hands.

The COVID-19 pandemic caused nearly every employer, regardless of size and sector, to urgently switch employee operations to a dynamic of remote work. As the good news of vaccines and various employment-focused initiatives roll out across Scotland, businesses, large and small, are thinking seriously about what a return to the workplace will look like for them and their teams.

In the final session of this series, we’re excited to be joined by Chris Herd, globally recognised remote work evangelist and Founder and CEO of FirstbaseHQ, to discuss what he predicts for the future of office vs remote work from speaking to 2,000+ people in the last 12 months.

What to expect:

A straight-talking, insightful look at how work, life and society have evolved since COVID.

There will be a chance to share your experiences and questions in the Zoom Chat function and we’ll make time to answer questions at the end of the session.

Topics we’ll cover:

Remote work

What hybrid work could look like

Performance and productivity

Is the office dead?

Monitoring remote workers

Remote talent
