Hempassion was founded in 2017 by Gibraltarian budding entrepreneurs David Martinez and Naydan Porro with the aim to provide people with the best quality and range of hemp-based CBD products, at the best prices possible. The Gibraltar Federation of Small Business gave them this year's Innovation award to the local company that produces a range of CBD dietary supplements. CBD is a type of cannabinoid, a chemical that’s naturally found in cannabis plants and can be used to help treat symptoms of anxiety and stress, as well as more serious conditions like multiple sclerosis. The company makes oils, creams and e-liquids produced from a list of approved ingredients sourced from farms in the EU. As well as selling products at a number of shops and pharmacies throughout Gibraltar, Hempassion also exports to six countries in Europe. His capacity to quickly master new areas of business is unparalleled, and when he became aware of hemp’s potential, he launched new business Hempassion. Anthony Provasoli is a Partner in Hassans International Law Firm and co-leads the firm’s FinTech team. Anthony has been advising on cryptocurrency and blockchain related work since 2014 and has been very involved in promoting the regulation of cryptocurrency related business in Gibraltar. Anthony assisted the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission in preparing the guidance notes for the DLT Regulations and has advised a number of high-profile cryptocurrency businesses and DLT providers. Anthony is a graduate from Nottingham Trent University and was called to the Bar in England and Wales and the Gibraltar Bar in 2005. He specialises in corporate, commercial and financial services matters and also advises on matters of sports law, intellectual property, e-commerce and telecommunications regulation.
