Ben has experience in healthcare and life sciences as an entrepreneur, investor and management consultant. He is currently President and CEO of Procyrion, Inc. a medical device start-up company in Houston Texas. Procyrion is developing a first-in- class, catheter deployed heart pump for the treatment of heart failure. Ben has a Ph.D. from the graduate program of Artificial Organs, Biomaterials, and Cellular Technology at Brown University. His graduate work focused on the design of polymer drug delivery devices, instrumentation, and experimental surgery. Ben also holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Trinity University. Ben is a licensed pilot, vintage car racer, avid photographer and enjoys fly-fishing and bird hunting. He lives in Houston with his wife Stephanie and sons Holden (8) and Hudson (8).
