Kevin Mintaraga, born on 19 January 1985, started his career by establishing a digital agency named Magnivate with a few partners in March 2008. Started with just 6 people, Magnivate now employs more than 170 digital experts, which handles and manages the digital marketing investment of numerous high profiles clients namely Unilever, XL Axiata, Singapore Tourism Board, Nestle and Johnson & Johnson, among many others.
As the CEO of Magnivate, he worked closely with Magnivate’s clients as their strategic partner and consultant by providing advice and solution to business transformation through technological approach.
Only 4 years after Magnivate’s establishment, WPP (a world leader in advertising and marketing services) acquired stakes in Magnivate in March 2012. The strategic acquisition hallmarks as the first digital agency acquisition in Indonesia, and led Magnivate to change its name into XM Gravity.
With the acquisition, Kevin became the youngest CEO at 27 years old within WPP’s global network, which consisted of 3,000 offices in 110 countries around the world. He continued to serve as CEO of XM Gravity until 2013, and moved to chairman role in January 2014 to start his new venture, Bridestory.
Through his contributions to grow his companies and the local tech start-up, Kevin has received various awards such as the recent Ernst & Young's prestigious Young Entrepreneur of The Year 2013 award. He was also appointed as “Wira Muda Kreatif Indonesia 2012” by Mrs. Mari Elka Pangestu (Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia) for his achievements in advertising industry; and also as a finalist of International Young Creative Entrepreneur “IYCE” in 2010 and 2012 by the British Council.
