Willix manages a technical and multi-disciplinary team consisting of data scientists, engineers, mathematicians, statisticians, physicists and product managers. His team leverages the power of data science and funnel optimization to grow the company to be the largest freelancing and crowdsourcing marketplace in the world.
THE RAINMAKER OF FREELANCER.COM - He is instrumental in the company’s hyper-growth now having more than 17 million professionals in the marketplace. Freelancer was listed publicly in ASX in November 2013 (ASX:FLN). The company’s market capitalization is about $700million (7 trillion rupiah)
Willix also conducts speaking engagements internationally and has recently spoken at or featured in AdTech Marketing, Bloomberg and CNBC among many others. Willix also lectures at universities on topics such as growth, strategy, data warehousing and analytics.
Willix grew up in Medan, Indonesia and graduated as valedictorian (top of his class) with first class honours degrees in Mechatronics Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Melbourne. Willix recently completed the Stanford Executive Program For Growing Companies at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
