We are hosting Yasser Iqbal, Co-Founder of Akkadu (Presented by AWS)

Thu, Apr 9, 2020, 3:00 PM (GMT+3)

About this event

Yasser is co-founder of Akkadu Inc, a platform enabling real-time audio translation (English to Arabic for example) of live events using remote interpreters. Yasser has founded two companies in the past, worked in several other startups as well as Chinese Tech Giants such as Tencent (Wechat) and Bytedance (TikTok).  Akkadu has an interesting origin and investor story and several key lessons and pivots along the way. Akkadu is based in China but Yasser is from Saudi Arabia - and now he is brining the service home.

Yasser first fell in love with entrepreneurship when he realized he could survive at tough times by designing and selling T-shirts at the University. Encouraged by his initial success, he decided to dive deep into entrepreneurship. Yasser dreams that every language has a voice and every voice has a listener. Come join fellow entrepreneurs and investors to learn from his story and make new friends that may someday be your own customer, partner or investor.
