Winner of best businesswomen 2018 and best female entrepreneur in 2017, Zahra Nazari is a young female entrepreneur in Bamiyan, Afghanistan who started a small scale handicraft business in the rural areas of Bamiyan 12 years ago while she was still school. She invested a small amount of 400 USD to start her business and employed 15 venerable women. Zahar’s company now has created jobs for 60 women artisans to produce authentic handicrafts. Zahar is also the Chairperson of Bamiyan Businesswomen Association and she is one of the first women reporters in Bamiyan. Further, Zahra is a civil society activist and fights for the women and children rights in Bamiyan.
