Camron Gnass is the founder and creative director of
Traction, a Lansing-based agency that hit the ground in 1995 and teaches in the Advertising Department at Michigan State University. His studio has earned recognition for print design and interactive projects across many industries, from local businesses and statewide social initiatives to the nations fastest growing coffee franchise.
His leadership in brand development has launched the creation of local, district and national award-winning pieces and campaigns for businesses of all sizes--including a Best of Show--and has resulted in catapulting small businesses into market leaders.
He serves on the Board of Directors of the Capital City Film Festival, Impression 5 Science Center and MiQuest, and recently the Small Business Association of Michigan.
He won the 2007 Greater Lansing Entrepreneur of the Year award as well as in 2008 was named ‘Ten over the next Ten’ recognizing the Ten most influential people in Mid-Michigan under the age of 35 for shaping the regions future. His passion lies within helping strategize, grow and manage visual communications for small business start-ups. Traction’s work has been published in PRINT and Logo Lounge’s national books.
Camron has also helped launch many community initiatives such as co-founding the Capital City Film Festival, TEDxLansing, Ignite Lansing and Lansing Live.
Aside from business, Camron owns historic brick buildings in downtown Lansing that houses his agency, another business and groovy loft studios, which he designed and built.
