About this event

Anya Babbitt has been creating and demonstrating enterprise value for over 15 years. Her passion for social responsibility and ecological awareness stems from her college thesis on the Kyoto Treaty and the reduction of carbon emissions. A battle-tested entrepreneur, Anya has founded and grown three successful companies, exiting one. Anya is now the founder & CEO of SPLT which moved to Detroit to join Techstars Mobility class of 2015. In bringing on local organizations like Detroit Lions, DTE Energy, Magna, Honda, and others, SPLT's mission is to provide greater access, heightened environmental awareness and more responsible methods of mobility in cities. Anya's efforts have already been recognized in reputable news sources and awards, i.e. named Mobility Game Changers by Huffington Post and selected Regional Finalists for the Clinton Global Initiative’s Hult Prize nomination, among a list of other impressive accolades on regional, national, and international levels. With the projected rate of company growth, SPLT will be expanding internationally in 2017 with nearly $11M in Revenue. Anya's impact on the community has been equally impressive. Her philanthropic work extends to Nexus Youth Summit, the American Legion Auxiliary, Citizens Energy Corporation, and her own family foundation that assists high school seniors with college scholarship awards to those pursuing environmental studies and more. While competitors of SPLT are driven mainly by monetary reward, SPLT is paving the way for a more sustainable future of mobility that can have countless reciprocal effects.
