Mr. David Smith is founder and Managing Director for the Bitcoin Strategic Trading Fund. He is an angel investor who invested in the seed stage for several companies and token sale for Ethereum. Smith is a member of Jason Calacanis’s Angel Syndicate and FundersClub. Prior to focusing on full time investing Mr. Smith founded two consultancies and was the CTO for multiple software product startups.

Mr. David Smith is founder and Managing Director for the Bitcoin Strategic Trading Fund. Mr. Smith is an angel investor who invested in the seed stage for Blokable, Underground Cellar, and Defy Media. Mr. Smith participated in the initial token sales for Simple Token, Civic, and Ethereum. Smith is a member of Jason Calacanis’s Angel Syndicate and FundersClub.

Prior to focusing on full time investing Mr. Smith founded two consultancies and was the Chief Technology Officer for multiple software product startups. For over 8 years Smith failed at bringing software products to market. Through founding companies, building software, and investing Smith has learned a lot and frequently advises startup founders.

Mr. Smith is an early investor in Bitcoin. He has been interviewed for media like: WILX News 10, Michigan Business Rap, Lansing State Journal, Consumers Digest, WKAR Current State, Michigan Business Network, Detroit Free Press, Lansing Business Monthly, Lansing Area Capital Gains, NBC Chicago, CBS MoneyWatch and USA Today.

Smith has written on Bitcoin for Benzinga.com (syndicated to Yahoo Finance) his personal blog Bitcoin Bulls. David Smith has given over a dozen presentations on bitcoin including the inaugural events of Coin Congress (Singapore), CoinAgenda (Las Vegas), and Congressional Bitcoin Education Day (Washington DC).

Outside of tech and investing Smith is semi-retired. He likes to play basketball, travel, try new food, listen to podcasts, learn, read, and spend time with his 10 year old son.
