Startup Grind LA is proud to host Ed Ulbrich, CEO of Digital Domain. Ed executive produced the Academy award-winning visual effects for “Titanic” and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” as well as for “Zodiac,” “Adaptation,” and “Fight Club;” music videos for the Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson and others artists, 500+ commercials and the computer-generated likeness of the late rap star Tupac Shakur that was featured at Coachella. He is currently a producer on the upcoming sci-fi feature "Ender’s Game," and Digital Domain has just finished work on visual effects for upcoming movies including "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," "Oblivion," "Iron Man 3" and more. As a visionary who works at the bleeding edge of visual effects, Ed will illuminate the ways in which reality and the digital world will continue to to collide. Digital Domain has been at the forefront of the visual effects industry for nearly two decades, and their quest for continual innovation has forged them into industry-leading company.  Ed will share his ideas on enabling creativity in your business, empowering you to advance with and adapt to a changing market landscape. Ed has been with Digital Domain since the company's inception in 1993 and is the chief architect of its advertising business. Prior to Digital Domain, Ed was a commercial producer at the Leo Burnett company and a digital artist at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. He was named one of the 100 most creative people in business by "Fast Company” magazine and has spoken about creativity at top worldwide conferences including TED, Sundance, PICNIC, SXSW, Google Creative Sandbox, NASA and others. Ed holds a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Illinois.
