Before getting appointed as CIO for Luxaviation Group, Hubert founded q-leap in 2012 within less than four years, as CEO, he has brought q-leap into the leadership rank of software quality assurance and testing in Luxembourg. Prior to that in 2000, he co-founded M-PLIFY, an application service provider, offering mobile notification services. He also launched ZAP in 2007, the leading Luxembourgish social network. Co-founding atHome.lu in 2000 (today part of the international REA group based in Australia) and Synapse in 1998, a job-recruitment portal acquired by TMP Worldwide (Monster).
Graduated with a diploma in electrical engineering and information technology from the TU München, he started his career in 1990 as a Sales support engineer for Siemens AG in Munich followed by a position as head of voice services department for Post Luxembourg. It was only in 1998, that he began sailing a ship on the stormy waters of the pre-2000 Internet bubble, working in parallel for the Ministry of State Luxembourg as head of technical branch.
One of his first management lessons is to give responsibilities to talented people.
