Jojy Azurin is the Regional Director for Continental Asia at Freelancer.com, the world's largest marketplace for online outsourcing with 10M worldwide members and close to 500,000 Filipino members. He is currently involved in several businesses. He is one of the pioneers in the local startup scene where he is also a sought-after speaker and consultant. He founded, over the years, several IT companies, a BPO, online businesses and a number of startups. He is one of the few Filipinos who was able to come full circle - created a startup and eventually sold it. He was part of at least 2 exits and (by his own words) 3 hybrid ones. He completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering as a full scholar at the University of the Philippines, and took up units in M.A. Economics at the University of Asia and the Pacific. Originally accepted into PhD in Engineering-Economics Systems program at Stanford University, Jojy switched careers and focused in the IT business.
