Sam Bankman-Fried, known as SBF, is a crypto founder, investor and philanthropist. He is the co-founder and CEO of FTX.com, a global crypto exchange valued at $32B, and FTX.US, a US exchange valued at $8B. Sam is also a co-founder of the quantitative trading firm Alameda Research. Prior to founding FTX.com, and Alameda Research, Sam was a trader on Jane Street Capital’s international ETF desk, where he helped design their automated OTC trading system. Sam graduated from MIT with a degree in physics. He is a vegan and an effective altruist.
Michelle Bailhe is a partner at Sequoia, where she focuses on crypto, software and Internet investments. Michelle is involved with Sequoia’s investments in FTX, Fireblocks, Pilot and more. Prior to Sequoia, Michelle worked at Hellman & Friedman, Google and McKinsey.
