Introduction to Scikit-learn Essentials for Machine Learning with Bob Chesebrough

Tuesday, October 18, 2022, 4:00 – 6:00 PM UTC

Learn the basics of performance optimizations available through Intel® Extension for Scikit-learn and techniques accessible through the AI Kit and oneAPI libraries.

About this event

Attend this informative workshop: Introduction to Scikit-learn Essentials for Machine Learning

That’s where the Intel® Extension for Scikit-learn comes in. Intel-optimized scikit-learn is made available through Intel® oneAPI AI Analytics Toolkit (AI Kit) that provides optimized Python libraries and frameworks to accelerate end-to-end data science and machine learning pipelines on Intel® architectures.

Using Intel® Extension for Scikit-learn can significantly speed up machine learning performance (38X on average and up to 200X depending on the algorithm) by changing only two lines of code.

Attend this workshop to have an overview of scikit-learn essentials for machine learning and get hands-on practice on our Intel® DevCloud to learn how to use the AI Kit to dramatically accelerate key machine learning algorithms such as Principal Component Analysis (PCA), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Linear Regression, Support-vector Classification (SVC) and more.

Key takeaways:

  • Learn about the potential performance gains available for common scikit-learn routines
  • Apply patching to achieve much better performance with very minimal code changes
  • Articulate where Intel Extension for scikit-learn fits with the broader and rich set of AI Kit optimizations
  • Learn the secrets of accelerated machine learning using Intel AI Kit at this live workshop.
