Join us for an inspiring evening with Alev, a true visionary leader for female empowerment.
Through Female Tech Leaders (FTL), a non-for-profit organisation aiming at supporting women and young girls to pursue careers in STEM fields, she is becoming a powerful thought leader in the tech eco-system.
Her mission: To get more women to join STEM fields. To empower and enable those who currently are working or studying in STEM fields. To help those women in STEM who want to get into leadership positions.
"I wanted to strengthen the ecosystem for women engineers, leaders, entrepreneurs, making STEM fields and entrepreneurship accessible and opening up these opportunities to younger generations of women too." Alev Canoglu, Founder of Female Tech Leaders. Founded in 2016, FTL has already reached hundreds of women in the Munich area, empowering every woman to become a leader in the tech industry.Read More
Alev studied Computer Science at the LMU and TUM while working on machine learning research and data base systems at Siemens Corporate Technology. In 2016, she founded Female Tech Leaders (FTL), a non-profit organisation aiming to empower women and young girls to pursue careers in STEM fields, and motivate those women who already are in STEM fields to get into leadership positions or become founders of technical startups.
FTL achieves these goals through a variety of community initiatives, including but not limited to workshops, mentorships, programming courses, and speaker nights. In addition, Alev is a Gender Equality officer at TU Munich and the co-lead of the Google Women Tech Makers in Munich.
