About the Speaker John is born & raised NOLA, graduated from Newman & Tulane before starting his career with InterContinental Hotels at the Maui property. While in Maui John made a big change & went to work for a petroleum company. After learning that business John moved home and bought a bankrupt Shell station on the westbank starting out with four employees. For 25 years John operated a chain of gas stations, convenience stores, truckstops & delis throughout SE La. At its largest point John operated 14 locations with over 100 employees. In 2018 he received an offer to buy his last six stores and exited the business. Later that year John joined Moxey New Orleans as GM & partner. Moxey is a B2B trade exchange with nearly 4000 members primarily in south Louisiana. John oversees the sales team, member services and administration of Moxey NOLA.
