Franck Nouyrigat is the co-founder of Startup Weekend and a founding member of the board of Up Global (up.co), the world's largest non-profit focusing on early stage entrepreneurs and the startup ecosystem (in 120+ countries). Since 2009 Startup Weekend and Up Global (e.g. StartupDigest) have helped more than 200,000 entrepreneurs and created more than $130M of value.
A long time innovator and entrepreneur, in 2001 he helped to organize the first Open Source conference in Paris. Franck is now based in Brooklyn where he works on the future of corporate innovation (Recorp) by leveraging the talent of successful entrepreneurs to develop internal startups and scale-ups. He was awarded MIT Innovator Under 35, spoke about entrepreneurship and innovation at TedX, and was honored to ring the opening bell at the NYSE and the closing bell at the NASDAQ. He is a guest writer at Forbes, WSJ and Les Echos.
Franck has advised hundreds of startup founders, and helped to design the first french accelerator (Le Camping). He graduated from HEC Paris in 2003 with a MS in Management, as well as a MS in Computer Science from Ecole Centrale d’Electronique (Paris) in 2002.
