Wiley Cerilli is a Venture Partner at First Round. He joined the firm in 2014 and is based in the New York office.
Wiley focuses on a variety of investment areas, but considering his 15 years of experience scaling sales teams, he will pays special attention to startups that need help building out scalable, repeatable sales efforts.
Prior to First Round, Wiley was on the executive team of Constant Contact, where he served as Vice President of SinglePlatform, the company he started and led as CEO until it was acquired for $100M in 2012. SinglePlatform was initially funded by First Round, and quickly went on to be named one of the Top 10 and 25 "Companies to Watch" by Business Insider, The Next Web and Website Magazine. Wiley has been named as a "Top 25 CEO" in New York, and "Top 10 People to Watch" by Crain’s.
Wiley’s career started when he dropped out of NYU during his sophomore year to join the founding team of Seamless in its first year. He served as Executive Vice President of Partner Sales and Marketing for ten years, during which the company was named the fourth fastest growing company in the country by Inc. Magazine and was acquired by ARAMARK.
Wiley is a board member of Syracuse University’s iSchool and of Manitou Experience Camps, a free nonprofit summer camp for boys who have lost a parent or sibling. He is an athlete at heart, has run the Paris marathon, and loves to snowboard.
Wiley never went back to college, but did earn his high school diploma from the Moses Brown School in Providence, Rhode Island.
