May 21, 10:00 PM – May 22, 1:00 AM (UTC)
The Yard: Herald Square, 106 West 32nd Street, New York, 10001
Join us on Tuesday, May 21 to hear directly from Lauren on how she raised $80M and still managed to be flexibile and adaptable in building a successful startup, even when the path forward was unclear.
If you're a startup founder, you probably have a story that goes something like this:
You: "I'm pretty confident I know what I want to do with my life."
The Universe: "That's cute. Hold my beer."
And you're not alone. The same was true for Lauren Salz, the CEO and Co-founder of Sealed, as she embarked on a journey through a decade of entrepreneurship in home electrification. Prior to her start as an entrepreneur, she was a competitive athlete and musician before joining the ranks at McKinsey & Co where she guided clients on capitalizing on market inefficiencies.
It was there that she got inspired to address a particular gap in the market: to create value in the home energy efficiency space by making electrification and efficiency easier to access for homeowners.
And so Sealed was born. But it wasn't all roses and rainbows along the way...
Sealed itself has undergone pivotal moments, most recently as it made public its transformation from B2C to B2B — accompanied by a recent $30M funding round — capitalizing on the incentives provided by the Inflation Reduction Act and culminating in the launch of its Sealed Pro app and platform.
Join us on Tuesday, May 21 to hear directly from Lauren on the power of societal impact to drive motivation and resilience -- and how she raised $80M total and still managed to be flexibile and adaptable in building a successful startup, even when the path forward was unclear.
Tickets for this event include food and drinks, as well as exclusive access to this founder who will open up about the realities of building a startup and the valuable lessons she learned along the way.
You'll also meet dozens of other high-performing entrepreneurs who are creating their next big thing. Seriously, it's some of the best founder networking in the city.
We're meeting LIVE AND IN-PERSON at The Yard, a coworking space at the intersection of innovation, creativity, design, & play -- with locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Philly, and DC -- with a variety of shared and private workspace options. If you are interested in learning more or scheduling a visit, you can do so here.
Getting a ticket guarantees admission. No long lines outside. No waitlist. No wondering if you'll even get in.
And don't miss our recurring founder social events over coffee or cocktails. It's a great opportunity for operators to network with each other to share best practices and find new resources to build your startup the right way. See the full event lineup here.
