Forest Key is the founder/ceo of VR Seattle video platform-co Pixvana. He was the founder/ceo of buuteeq which was acquired by Priceline and now operates as part of the largest hospitality marketplace Booking.com. Forest was previously a GM of Biz Dev and Product Management lead in Microsoft Server & Tools division in the areas of web application frameworks and developer and designer tools. He was based in Beijing China in BD role for msft where he developed marketing programs with top Chinese consumer web properties such as Tencent, Alibaba, and Baidu. At Macromedia (now Adobe) he ran Flash product management and was active in early advances in video as a internet medium. Forest started his career as a film editor and CGI effects artist as both founder/ceo Executive Officer of tools business Puffin Designs, and adding glamour to his geek credibility, as visual effects editor/animator at George Lucas' Industrial Light and Magic. Credits include Star Wars, Mission Impossible, Men in Black, and Casper The Friendly Ghost! UCLA, fluent in Spanish and can negotiate to buy cheap consumer goods in Mandarin.
John SanGiovanni has more than two decades of experience as an entrepreneur and inventor. John has authored more than 20 patents in the areas of augmented reality, wearable hardware systems, and UI, many of which have subsequently been licensed or purchased by Apple, Microsoft, and others. In addition, John has led product teams which have shipped more than 30 top-tier Apps for iOS/Android, 10 of which achieved top-5 in their respective App Store category, and have won major digital/interactive awards. Between ventures, John served as a Technical Evangelist for Microsoft Research, where he led external research funding in the areas of mobile technology and AR, and co-invented several UI metaphors now used on more than a billion devices worldwide. John currently serves as CEO of Visual Vocal, a powerful platform for multi-user VR/AR productivity and communication. Visual Vocal is currently in use by some of the world’s largest engineering/architecture/construction companies.
Nick Fajt is the CEO and co-founder of Against Gravity, the company behind Rec Room, an online world made up of hundreds of thousands of different Rooms, where each Room is a unique experience. There are Rooms for competitive Shooter games, Adventure Quests, Talk Shows, Escape Rooms, Art Installations and Clubhouses. You can explore them with friends from around the world and even build your own. Before Against Gravity, Nick worked at Microsoft on both the Hololens and Xbox teams.
Mike or Michael Grabham is a curious start up guy that has been delivering revenue, new products and creative solutions in the startup chaos for 20+ years. He is a five time founder and is in relentless pursuit of knowing the customers better than any competitor. He recently invented a new product called Package Guard, to help stop package theft. He is a “make it happen” person driving growth across multiple revenue streams while inspiring and teaching employees on how to have fun and get things done, yes you can do both.
He has raised $3M from angel investors over the past 20 years, sold two companies and failed and has managed marketing, product, engineering and sales staffs throughout his career.
He is constantly learning from others having conducted more than 100 interviews with startup leaders at Startup Grind in Seattle and Bellevue each month. He loves helping smart people change industries, studying consumer behaviors and searching for the perfect glass of wine.
He and his wife started a nonprofit Survive the Streets which they help homeless in Seattle. He received his MBA from Seattle University and has an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, if that matters to anyone.
