About this event

As business executive, Lars turned Oticon into the world’s first paperless, networked, knowledge-based organization in 1991 and placed the management concept of "spaghetti organisation" in world media and business school text books ever since. He turned Oticon’s from near-bankruptcy to € 800 M valuation in his 10 years’ tenure.

As an entrepreneur, Lars has started 25 companies since 1998 and still going strong. As investors, active board members, chairman, he has co-created disruptive and impactful startups in real estate, energy, startup platform, finance, music, etc.

As an industry leader, Lars has helped 5 companies/organisations in 5 different industries from being the insignificant Danish provincial players into industry leaders in their fields on the global market, among them LEGO and the Danish wind energy.

As a thinker, Lars has advocated “purpose before profit”, “stakeholders involvement”, “from boss to unboss, from limited company to unlimited company” in his books "Second Cycle", “UNBOSS", etc.

As a passionate advocate for leadership for positive change, he spent more than 35 years as an active Scouts and more than a decade in the inner circle of the World Scouts Foundation to create the conscious and self-perception of the International Scouts from an outdoor, nature, camping after-school activities into the “largest leadership development program on earth”.
