Max Richter, Insta360's Global Marketing Lead, will share his experience from a Chinese startup and what it's like to build its global brand literally from zero.
Jingkang Liu (JK) is the CEO and founder of leading 360-degree camera maker Insta360. After building his own live-streaming platform while studying at Nanjing University, JK started looking for ways to improve the experience—when audiences watched a live-streamed event online, he wanted them to feel like they were really there.
That’s what led him to start exploring the potential of 360 cameras. Soon after, he recruited some of his brightest classmates and moved to Shenzhen to found Insta360.
Insta360’s products include plug-and-play cameras that allow people to start sharing immersive 360 photos and video straight from their phones, as well as cutting-edge professional cameras that are pushing forward the VR film industry.
Max Richter is Insta360's Global Marketing Lead and manages the company's external outreach. Since joining Insta360 in 2016, he has engaged industry leaders across multiple sectors as well as top-tier global media to help them understand the potential of 360 camera technology. His work also includes developing partnerships to help expand the capabilities of 360 cameras through new hardware and software solutions. Previously, Max worked at DJI, the global industry leader in manufacturing UAVs (drones).
