In 2013, as part of Huawei's global "Seeds for the Future" initiative, it launched the Digital Seeds project for German, Swiss and Austrian university students, focusing on entrepreneurship, digitalization, innovation and sustainable development. Last year's Digital Seeds's ideathon attracted talent from more than 20 of Germany, Switzerland and Austria's top universities (such as the University of Munich, RWTH Aachen, University of Berlin, KIT Carew University of Technology, etc.), covering a wide range of disciplines - STEM, engineering and humanities, which featured the best teams winning at the level of design thinking solutions, commercial design and branding. These winners will be coming to Shenzhen in September for a two-week tour of China.

On September 25, Startup Grind Shenzhen joined hands with Digital Seeds to invite local startups run by expats, outstanding venture capital institutions and active incubation platforms in Shenzhen to share with German young entrepreneurs, outlook the latest insights on digitalization, sustainability and entrepreneurship, in an effort to enhance the exchange of international innovation trends, and promote the collaborative ecology between Shenzhen and Berlin.
