Ethan Lin was formerly employed in the department of investment in Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank as Deputy Chairman of the Board, focusing on mergers of Asia-Pacific hotels and real estate. He loves traveling and outdoor activities, while striving his way in finance, he backpacked and left his footprints throughout more than 20 countries.

Startup Grind Shenzhen is hosting Ethan Lin, former Investment Banker and founder of Klook (www.klook.com) on November 17th, 2015. Ethan Lin and his friends are both travel enthusiasts. Due to their passion to share their fun activities and simplify the process of finding them, together they started the travel activity reservation platform Klook, and as of this year, they have closed USD 5 million in A round and received massive popularity across Southeast Asia. Klook has been rated best new app in App Store in 14 countries, and covered by top tier tech media including Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, SCMP, Toonz and 36kr. Let's meet Ethan and hear about his startup story.

"What to do" on a trip has always been the passion for Ethan and his good friend Raymond. With the rapid growth of international tourism in China, they decided to revolutionize the workflow of finding things to do in a foreign land and connect the massive variety of fun and creative activities with tourists. Specifically targeted Southeast Asian countries, the team founded Klook in Hongkong, and now they have opened offices in Shenzhen, Taipei and Singapore.
