On August 18 at 7pm, we will have Denise, founder of a consumer technology brand, Mensa, founder of a lifestyle brand, and Marisa from Yunyue Capital Company to share their stories with new consumption startups with us. We will discuss the narratives and business logic of the new consumption sector in the post-epidemic situation from the perspective of industry practitioners and investors.

About this event

The concept of New consumption has been hot in the past few years with hundreds of new consumer brands getting financing in 2020 alone. Since the second half of 2021, venture investment in this sector has shrunk sharply. Coupled with the repeated reemergence of the Covid-19 pandemic in China and the turbulent economic environment, consumers are more inclined to reduce consumption. Thus, the usual marketing method of new consumer brands---driving sales through traffic bonus and consumption upgrading---seems to be no longer effective.


How should practitioners of the new consumption industry cope with an increasingly complex and uncertain market environment?


What kind of actions should they take in different aspects to achieve maximum brand certainty in a competitive environment with rapid changes?
