On July 24th, the How to Apply Netflix's Work Culture at Your Company workshop, co-organized by Startup Grind Shenzhen and Team Martians, will be taking place at the China-UK Technology Innovation Center in Shenzhen.
This event is to help attendees master the principles of Netflix-style communication, so that team members can communicate and give feedback to each other more efficiently, accurately and openly, accelerate effective information flow within the organization, and enable the organization to better and faster evolution and achieve goals.
In addition to its products and achievements (four successful transitions, nearly 20 million employees, and a market value of more than $220 billion), Netflix is also known in Silicon Valley for its management. Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg calls Netflix's corporate culture manual the most important document in Silicon Valley. Bytedance's corporate culture also borrows heavily from Netflix's.
This workshop will cover the history of Netflix, how Netflix builds and iterates teams, and focus on the core of Netflix's efficient teams -- Netflix-style open communication skills. It will also help attendees master the 4A principles of Netflix open communication (Aim to help, Actionable, Appreciate, Accept or Discard) and Netflix's effective feedback (Start, Stop, Keep), which lays the foundation for building an organization with efficient, transparent and timely communication.
