THIS EVENT IS IN CHINESE In the blazing August, focused on the blockchain, Startup Grind brings you the latest and most cutting-edge blockchain messages. On August 27th, we invite Cen Zi (the founder of HelloEOS) and Ran Wei (the cofounder of DAOONE and Partner of JRR Research), to share with us the decentralized autonomous community (DAC) and decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) of EOS. This interview will talk about basic knowledge of the decentralized autonomous organization, the value represented in society, and the application examples of “autonomy” realized in reality. At the same time, we also arranged some questions for Cen Zi and Ran Wei. Topic: How to govern the decentralized blockchain community? How to govern the blockchain has always been a problem for people. There are currently two types of governance – on-chain and off-chain. The off-chain governance of us is consistent with that of most private institutions, namely a group of trusted individuals in the community take responsibility for the governance of the blockchain and the benefits distribution. The on-chain governance solves the inherent centralization in the off-chain, thus users can vote directly on the decisions, and then the blockchain will automatically execute the voting results. On-chain governance is a very radical way to turn the blockchain into a self-managing mechanized democracy by getting rid of the traditional organization with internal disordered structure. However, whether democracy is applicable to the governance of the blockchain still needs to be discussed, since the anonymous nature of the blockchain makes the blockchain under the democratic system vulnerable to witch attacks. Moreover, the blockchain governance cannot be compared with the state governance. It is necessary to jump out of the solidified thinking that governing the blockchain in the means of state governance. A reasonable blockchain governance mechanism still needs to be explored.
