It looks like a black furry ball with two beady eyes and it's the new brand identity of Tencent. In a very short time, the penguin mascot swept out the internal company and became a phenomenal success. Yet, the mission of its birth is not only to be cute, it is the initial trial of Tencent's brand transformation from solo business to a multi-ecosystem. Graduated from Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in 2005, Pika Qiu joined Tencent in 2006 and has been working there ever since. She has 8 years of experience in game development and 4 years in brand design experience. Currently, she works at Tencent Technology Engineer Department, User Research and Experience Design Brand Center. She's one of the core members that created Tencent's new brand - IPENGOO.
