Simply put, ECSV is a catalyst. It's purpose is to help spark the first startup ecosystem in Trenton. It's not as hard to create a startup ecosystem as you may think... Essentially, there is Supply (startups) and Demand (investors). Then, you just need a catalyst in order to tie it all together. That's what ECSV is! 

We are back at our original location where we hosted the first two ECSV pitch events: Mill Hill Saloon on S Broad Street! There's something about the vibe here. Going back to our roots. We are also now scouting startups for the first venture capital firm in Trenton: TRENTON MAKES. Hosting with Startup Grind is amazing! This is exactly what we needed to help cultivate the startup community in New Jersery's capital city.

In the past, Trenton was synonymous with the manufacturing of steel bridge cables, contributing significantly to the industrial landscape of the United States. However, as globalization shifted manufacturing overseas, Trenton, like many other cities, bore the brunt of the decline in traditional industries. The echoes of the past, encapsulated in the iconic phrase "Trenton Makes The World Takes," now serve as a rallying cry for a new era of innovation and economic rejuvenation.

With a growing number of startup founders actively shaping the city's destiny, Trenton is poised to carve out a niche in the digital realm.
