Recently named Gentry magazine's Top 50 Bay Area philanthropists, David Batstone is an entrepreneur, venture philanthropist, abolitionist and professor of entrepreneurship and innovation at the University of San Francisco. Batstone is a senior managing partner at Ignite Farm Fund. Batstone is the founder and president of Not for Sale, an international human rights agency that aims to inoculate at-risk populations from human trafficking. He is founder and senior managing partner of Just Business, a next-generation keiretsu whose portfolio includes REBBL, Square Organics, LuvTap, and Blue Sky Fertilizer, a green technology company repurposing farm waste and turns it into a biologically active organic fertilizer. REBBL, which Batstone founded in 2011, recently named Sheryl O'Loughlin (formerly of Clif Bar) as CEO. In 2015, Batstone was namedGentry magazine's Top 50 Bay Area philanthropists. Michael brings 18 years of brand marketing and emerging technology entrepreneurship to Ignite Farm Funds working with award- winning brands, from agency, Fortune 500 and start-up perspectives.
