Ian Lucey graduated from the University of Cork and started his career in finance before launching his first accounting software startup in 2008.
The Lucey Fund invests in entrepreneurs who understand their industry, but who have not done technology before. Lucey accelerates these startups by funding the development of their first scalable, secure, fully-viable product, affording the founder time to do what they’re best at, business. Lucey takes the headache out of R&D.
Based in Dublin Ireland, Lucey reviews over 5,000 applications per year and selects around 5-10% for development. Working with a staff of over 70 developers, the fund has invested in 70+ companies in the UK, Europe and the US.
