Meet the regions hottest tech startups. Over 50 of the state’s Best Technology Startups will be exhibiting and conducting live demos in the atrium of Biotech Place. Engage with teams of investors from North Carolina and beyond who will be covering the demo floor and selecting 10 companies to do lightning round pitches on the main stage.
Scoring will run from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM followed by lightning pitches, the keynote (@theHenryAmmar) and New Ventures company presentations. Participating investors will have access to a private hospitality suite for one-on-on one meetings with startups.
This year we have partnered with Venture Café to bring amazing programming to you Thursday night and Friday morning. In addition to the investor style pitch presentations by the New Ventures 2019 cohort of companies, the VentureSouth Piedmont Angel Group will be coordinating the lightning round.

The New Ventures companies receive an average equity investment of $50K and participate in a 12-week boot camp style accelerator program at Flywheel Coworking co-located at Center for Design Innovation in Winston -Salem, NC.
Since 2016, New Ventures portfolio companies have raised over $5 Million in additional capital from regional seed funds and investors. Growth-stage startup companies that originated and were funded through New Ventures include Petrics, Ampogee, LeadingRole, Orbital RX, and Fluree. This year’s cohort includes Hay Trabajo, ReFul, LiveWell Nutrition and Gift’d.
