At Startup Grind Aberdeen, we aim to support and connect founders, innovators, and entrepreneurial individuals with the wider Scottish startup ecosystem.

We run monthly hybrid fireside chat events as part of the global Startup Grind network for entrepreneurs, active across 600+ chapters in 125+ countries worldwide.

As part of our programming, Startup Grind Aberdeen has hosted a wide range of influential founders, ecosystem leaders, and industry voices, including Mark Logan, Ian Davys, Sarah Downs, Sam Pettipher, Ian Mackenzie, and Jeanette Forbes, reflecting the strength and diversity of the Scottish innovation landscape.

Our events have also previously featured founders and ecosystem leaders such as Dr Rotimi Alabi (RAB Microfluidics), Dr Eve Wildman (RIPCELL), and serial entrepreneur Beena Sharma (CCU International) as part of our high-flying alumni and ecosystem series connecting talent from Aberdeen’s universities and the broader entrepreneurial community.

We have also welcomed leading startup voices and founders including Chris Herd (Firstbase), who shared his journey of scaling internationally, raising over $65M in funding, and achieving a successful exit, alongside other ecosystem builders and investors from across the UK innovation landscape.

In addition, our programming regularly showcases deeptech and energy transition founders, including speakers such as Mark Bjornsgaard (System Two Group / Deep Green), who shared insights on scaling energy innovation and venture building in climate tech.

We also work closely with our teams in Edinburgh and Glasgow under the umbrella of Startup Grind Scotland, helping to strengthen collaboration across the Scottish entrepreneurial ecosystem.
