The UK venture capital firm Draper Esprit and the German VC Earlybird have announced a strategic partnership to share deal, investment resources and expertise to co‐invest together in high-growth European technology companies. We will talk with Ben Tompkins from Draper Esprit and Fabian Heilemann from Earlybird about the decision to collaborate, the ability to build significant global businesses of the future and that this partnership will enable further growth within the ecosystem.

Startups will be pitching their business idea, product or service for 2 minutes in front of a jury of investors. The judges will choose the three winning startups of the night that will be flown in to Guangzhou, China for the Final Pitch Contest.

Dr. Fabian Heilemann is a digital serial-entrepreneur and early stage VC investor from Berlin. Fabian started his first business as a teenager in 2001 and was a co-founder of seven companies since, including the couponing platform DailyDeal which he and his brother Ferry sold to Google Inc. in 2011.
Fabian's investment track record includes > 35 early stage investments (Seed / Series A) since 2011 with a focus on SaaS, Platforms and Logistics&Mobility. He joined Earlybird as a Managing Partner in 2016 and leads the logistics-technology practice of the firm. He holds board-seats at Everoad, Allthings and FreightHub and is an early investor in McMakler, DiviMove, Eyeota, Test.io.
