Robin recently joined Smartrecruiters as Managing Director following the companies acquisition of Jobspotting in January of 2017, a company that Robin co-founded. SmartRecruiters, founded in 2010 out of San Francisco, makes it easier for employers to find the right people by providing them with a software that integrates with existing recruiting channels and centralizes the entire process from potential candidate to employee. 

Jobspotting on that other hand, which was founded in 2013 out of Berlin, is a recommendations engine that suggests relevant jobs to users based on their skills and experience with the use of by Skills Graph and Semantic Analysis technology. Over the past 3 years Jobspotting has managed to expand to 10 countries and provide relevant jobs for three million users. 

By combining Jobspotting’s matching algorithms with SmartRecruiters' integrated recruitment software, together they have the potential to form a comprehensive marketplace that meets the demands of both employers and job seekers. Since being founded in 2010 out of San Francisco SmartRecruiters has raised $55 million dollars in funding.

Robin is also an investor for Haak & Compagnie with several seed investments. Prior to joining Jobspotting, Robin co-founded the Berlin-based Axel Springer Plug and Play Accelerator and invested in over 40 international companies. He managed investments from the follow-up fund, the portfolio and operations of the accelerator. Robin also worked in M&A in the Marketing & Classifieds Division and also in Digital Ventures at Axel Springer SE, Europe's leading digital publisher.
