The Journey of a "Mad Scientist"

About this event

This June’s Startup Grind is exploring the paths of innovators; of creators; of the harbingers of change. We all find ourselves somewhere atop a peak or occasionally in a valley, sometimes we move at breakneck speed only to come to a GRINDING halt. No matter where we find ourselves on our journey, our monthly fireside chats are designed to be your “safe-haven” where we can share and learn together from each other’s experiences. Save the date now for Wed., June 21st (7:00-9:00pm)!

Every month we encourage you to understand and embrace our values:

Give First (before you ask)

Make Friends (not just contacts)

Help Others (before you help yourself)

And broadcast our Global Mission:

To Inspire, Educate and Connect Entrepreneurs

Start thinking now about who you know in a STEM position (startup or enterprise) whom you believe would enjoy hearing from a peer, but also who may care to share their experiences with others.

  • What are your professional development goals?
  • How would you like to improve your position or to grow your own business?
  • What problems are you or your business facing right now?
Our local & global community is here. How may we assist you?

Ways You Can Participate:

In the Spotlight (Apply Here) -Our “Entrepreneur Partners” (Startups, Growth & Enterprise businesses) are kicking off the event. They are Energy founders & team members wanting to share their accomplishments, values or needs with our attendees. These groups will also be exhibiting their companies after our signature Fireside Chat. This opportunity is available for up to 6 businesses, Apply Today!  (This role requires an entrepreneur partner ticket $100.00 )

Listen & Learn - Beyond inspiration, what are you willing to do to achieve your “what’s next” moment? As entrepreneurs we have answers show up after taking several types of actions. Those actions can occur from something you do after learning, after having that “Ah-ha” moment, or after applying what is shared by our guest in the chair. Our guest, Karl Lin, Founder & CEO of Sepcor (LinkedIn Bio) has had several of “those moments” while on his professional… adventure! (Purchase Tickets Here)

Spread the Word - Our monthly events are an effective and valuable opportunity to share your brand and message with Houston’s entrepreneurial community. Startup Grind’s events regularly attract many influential Founders, Professionals, and Investors. We have several options available, starting at only $250. (Connect Here)

Register now:

Discover your “I can do that!” moment from our spotlit “Entrepreneur Partners” as they share their ideas or needs that -BAM- makes you think.

Listen to your peer’s real life experiences and learn how to handle situations, or to navigate your trailblazing journey.

Apply the candid advice to your startup right now that is offered by the expert in the chair.

“Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” Steve Jobs

Go ahead and chose your preferred ticket level. Grinder (Limited seating) $20.00 until June 4 (or when sold out), $35.00 until 5pm June 21st, $45.00 at door, or be an Entrepreneur Partner (reserved seating & Spotlight/exhibiting) for $100.00.
