This week’s Startup Grind Summer Series event features Jacob Pechenik, Co-Founder of The Farm Project and Lettuce Grow. Join us as we explore his start up journey and mission to build a community of passionate growers deeply connected through good food and sustainable living.
Featured Speaker: Jacob Pechenik
Jacob Pechenik is a passionate entrepreneur who has built a career around questioning and improving industry status quos. Jacob is the co-founder of The Farm Project, a Public Benefit Corporation whose mission is to transform our food system by engaging and empowering consumers. From The Farm Project sprouted Lettuce Grow, an initiative that empowers everyone to grow 20% of their food at home. Jacob’s dedication to innovation and socially constructive disruption is evident in every element of Lettuce Grow, from sustainably designed hydroponic growing systems to an altruistic program intended to make the magic of fresh nutrition available in disadvantaged communities.
This event will take place in VirBELA's Open Campus, a 3D virtual environment. Please allow a few minutes to get VirBELA set up and customize your avatar prior to the event.
1. Download VirBELA.
2. Launch the application and customize your avatar.
3. If you have any trouble, consult the User Guide.
4. Once you enter the campus, click "GO TO" and select "Auditorium."
